Up until this time rehabbing horses was a long, drawn out process that had many pitfalls   along the way. The biggest single issue facing Humane Society’s and organizations           committed to the rehabbing of rescue horses, was that the food of choice was senior          feed, usually characterized by a lower starch level higher fiber, and a high fat content. What this did with the higher fat content, was to supply the equine with more calories, and it’s a fact that they did put on weight. The only problem with this protocol, is that senior feeds, and in fact most pelleted feeds contain grain or grain byproducts. The grain or grain by products contain enzyme inhibitors. These enzyme inhibitors are naturally included in the grain to stop germination as the grain passes through and animals intestinal process. The reason for this is so animals can ingest grasses containing grain, walk somewhere else and excrete the grain in in a new location to grow more grass. This simple fact works against a horses digestive system in a very powerful way when the grain is separated from the grass is grows on, and the more you feed the more you will mmobilize a horses small intestine enzymatic action. It's a no win situation.

Thrive is a different product, I have been aged the enzyme inhibitors, so it is possible to feed a horse in excess of 50,000 calories per day with total safety, no laminitis problems, no colic problems, and also because of the specifically designed amino acid array, massive amounts of powerful muscle can be placed on a horses body in a very short period of time.

The feeding protocol is simple, clean water, clean hay, then open up a bag of thrive, keep it out into a suitable container, and walk away. Your rescue horse will do the rest, they can eat as much as they like without any problems. When the container is    empty, open another bag and do the same thing.  All you have to do to rehab a horse and produce incredible results, is
repeat the process. You do not need to add any supplements, any minerals, anything else, just open the bag, tip it out, walk away.  Sandy Grambort from the Humane Society of North Texas is the leading authority in the world for rehabbing horses using thrive as the primary protocol. She will attest to the fact that the results that are obtainable are unmatched by any other product.
