The Rainbow Bridge

Spritzer crosses the Rainbow Bridge

Picture
On December 26, 2015 Spritzer (Burro) our mascot/logo for the rescue and the whole reason we started the rescue 16 yrs ago crossed the Rainbow Bridge he was 24 yrs old.

Spritzer was the second equine to come into the program after being seized by The Toledo Area Humane Society while Diana Murphy was a Humane Officer.  He was going to be euthanized due to his feet, but was adopted by Diana Murphy and thus the rescue was started. After 2 yrs of work and daily care he blossomed into the beautiful animal Diana knew he would.  For the next 16 yrs, Spritzer was a baby sitter for many young orphaned foals and senior horses, he was a buddy for any horse who needed a companion during it's rehabilitation.  Spritzer loved people and children especially, he loved to play with the goats and chase the chickens. Spritzer will sadly be missed but will always be in our hearts.

We have had many animals cross our paths and we will always remember them in our hearts

On October 20, 2017 I had to say goodbye to my beloved dog Squeaky, he gave me 17 years of Joy and unconditional love. Your pawprints will always be embedded in my heart. With your hearing and eyesight renewed you can now run freely in the greener fields over the rainbow bridge. 2000-2017 RIP my Sweet Squeaky
